Jack J C Peeters, Composer of film soundtracks, was born in Venlo, The Netherlands, "into a regular family with a hardworking Mum and Dad." At the age of 14 he knew he wanted to be a music composer for films. After he graduated from the University Maastricht in Holland he became a private piano teacher.

In the meanwhile he studied MIDI and composing with computers as an autodidact. After several years he qualified himself in composing for short films. 'Musical instruments that are synthetically constructed, is not his sound' ...he wanted to have an orchestral sound that now is possible, but 15 years ago it was not. So he waited for the technology to catch up to him.

His first 99 min length movie is "Staya Erusa: Find the book of Knowledge", and its trailer. www.stayaerusa.org (sheet music downloadable for free). It is a beautiful and compelling composition! He composed it by the script, images, and even frame to frame.

As exciting as it was to compose the music for Ronald-Jan Heijn, Uri Geller and Harry Beckers, Jack has a lot to tell ...stories in a musical way of course. The "Staya Erusa" series will consist of a total of seven DVD's, and Jack will continue composing the soundtracks, "It will be very exciting." And still he stands up for new challenges on other projects to make musical creations for many films! His continuing and everlasting passion.

Having so enjoyed the "Staya Erusa" soundtrack, we met Jack via email across the world to the Netherlands and found him to be a delightful, wonderful being with a humble love of creating and joy in having his compositions on our music stream, and bringing more awareness to "Staya Erusa". We just had to, along with you, meet him on BTO.

He is currently teaching music to teenagers at many levels, he has 614 students every week which is no small task, and especially with students who prefer "Rap", it is quite a challenge to instill an interest in classical music... until he gives examples of how and where, they really do hear it!

Listen Now	June 9th, 2008 "Find the Book of Knowledge" Jack was composing on the piano at 14, with a passion for creating music for films. He could hear violins and horns in his mind while composing on the piano but back then, MIDI was such that he could not make the music he heard. Finally, the technology improved and he could record his beautiful compositions, now we can hear what he hears. Jack's first full-length film soundtrack was made for the film "Staya Erusa" the first of a DVD series for which he will also compose. "I put everything in it that I have ever learned" --It's a wonderful film which takes the viewer on a voyage through human potentials and explores the great questions of our existence from film makers Uri Geller, Ronald Jan Heijn, and Harry Beckers, three men on a mission to expand human consciousness. Jack had placed an advertisement and Harry found him, no accident for sure as the orchestration and atmosphere played in Jack's head, composing frame by frame. The combination creates an experience, as Jack puts it, "the film takes us to a broader consciousness, it did something to me, it made me think about things I hadn't thought about before." The mystical film title has no meaning, you fill in your own meaning. For the lyrics of the vocals Jack created a phonetic text which has no meaning either following the same theme. And who is the lovely female voice? Angie his lovely lady. As for donating his work for the film Jack says, "mentally I am rich, I have done something truthful."
